Chantal Hochuli
Switzerland
mail@chantalhochuli.ch

You do not acquire ownership of the Font Software. You only receive the rights expressly granted in this agreement.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. GENERAL LICENSE GRANT
Subject to full payment and compliance with this agreement, Chantal Hochuli Studio grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Font Software according to the license type purchased.
The Font Software may only be used by the number of users, on the number of devices, for the number of domains and for the type of use covered by the purchased license.
5. DESKTOP LICENSE
A Desktop License allows the licensed Users to install the Font Software on their own computers and use it to create static design work.
Permitted uses include:
- books, magazines, catalogues and editorial design
- posters, flyers, invitations and printed matter
- visual identities and branding
- logos and wordmarks
- packaging
- signage and exhibition graphics
- social media posts and static digital graphics
- presentations
- PDFs

A Desktop License allows the creation of final, non-editable files, including flattened images, outlined vector files, print PDFs and other final artwork.
A Desktop License does not allow web embedding, app embedding, server use, editable template use, broadcasting, e-publication embedding or redistribution of the Font Software unless these uses are covered by a separate license.
6. NUMBER OF USERS
The Font Software may only be installed and used by the number of Users covered by the purchased license.
A single-user license covers one individual person.
If more people need to install, access or use the Font Software, a larger license must be purchased.

7. WEB LICENSE

The Web License is valid only for the domain or domains stated at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise agreed, one Web License covers one domain.
Subdomains are included only if they belong to the same website, brand or project. Separate websites, brands, campaigns or clients require separate licenses.
The Font Software must be used in WOFF or WOFF2 format whenever possible.

The Font Software may not be hosted in a way that allows unlicensed third parties to access or reuse it.
The Licensee must take reasonable measures to protect the Font Software, including proper CSS implementation and avoiding direct public file indexing where possible.
8. WEB TRAFFIC
If the purchased Web License is limited by page views, visitors, traffic or another metric, the Licensee is responsible for purchasing an appropriate license tier.
If the website exceeds the licensed traffic limit, the Licensee must upgrade the license.
9. LOGO AND WORDMARK USE
A Desktop License allows the use of the Font Software to create logos, wordmarks and brand marks, provided that the final logo artwork is delivered as outlines, vectors, images or other non-font formats.
The Font Software itself may not be embedded into a logo file, template or brand system in a way that allows third parties to extract, install or use the Font Software.
Creating a logo does not transfer any rights in the Font Software.
If the logo or wordmark is intended for a large organisation, international brand, trademark registration, resale system, product line or extensive commercial use, Chantal Hochuli Studio may require a custom license.
10. CLIENT WORK
Designers, studios, agencies and freelancers may use the Font Software for client work if the purchased license covers the correct number of Users and the intended use.
The Licensee may deliver final, non-editable artwork to a Client.
The Licensee may not give, sell, lend, sublicense or transfer the Font Software to the Client.
If the Client needs to install, edit with, access, use or continue working with the Font Software independently, the Client must purchase their own license.
If a project is handed over to another designer, studio, agency, developer or internal team, that party must have its own valid license if they need to use the Font Software.
11. THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTION PARTNERS
Printers, developers, prepress providers, sign makers, exhibition builders, motion designers or other production partners may temporarily access the Font Software only when strictly necessary for producing the licensed project.
They may not use the Font Software for any other purpose.
They must delete the Font Software after completion of the project.
The Licensee is responsible for ensuring that third-party production partners follow these terms.
12. SERVICE BUREAUS AND PRINTERS
The Licensee may send print-ready PDFs or outlined files to printers and production partners.

The printer or production partner may not keep, reuse, distribute or install the Font Software beyond the licensed production purpose.
13. EMBEDDING IN PDFS AND DOCUMENTS

This applies whether the Font Software is embedded directly or served remotely.

18. SOCIAL MEDIA USE
A Desktop License allows the creation of static or rendered social media content, including posts, stories, reels, videos and announcements.

The Font Software itself may not be included with, embedded into or distributed as part of the product.
For high-volume merchandise, commercial product lines or resale systems, a custom license may be required.
20. SERVER USE
The Font Software may not be installed on servers, cloud systems or shared environments where multiple unlicensed users can access it.
Automated document generation, dynamic image generation, server-side typesetting, online design tools and similar uses require a separate server license.
21. CLOUD STORAGE
The Font Software may be stored in a private cloud folder only for backup or internal access by licensed Users.
The Font Software may not be stored in shared folders accessible to unlicensed users, clients or third parties.

This includes modifying outlines, spacing, kerning, OpenType features, metadata, names, formats, file structure or variable font axes.
Outlining letters for final artwork is allowed.
24. CONVERSION
The Licensee may not convert the Font Software into another format unless technically necessary for licensed use.
For example, converting desktop fonts into webfonts is not allowed unless a Web License has been purchased.
25. VARIABLE FONTS
If the Font Software includes a variable font, the Licensee may use the available axes within the licensed use.
The Licensee may not extract, generate, modify or redistribute separate font files from the variable font unless explicitly allowed.
Static instances generated from a variable font are considered Font Software and are subject to the same restrictions.
26. TRIAL FONTS
Trial fonts may only be used for testing, evaluation, internal design drafts, mockups, student trials or client presentations.
Trial fonts may not be used for final commercial work, public release, paid projects, published websites, logos, merchandise, campaigns or production.
Trial fonts may have reduced character sets, limited features or technical restrictions.
27. STUDENT AND ACADEMIC LICENSES
Student or academic licenses may only be used by eligible students, teachers, schools or educational institutions.
They may be used for non-commercial educational work, school projects, research, internal presentations and portfolio work.
They may not be used for paid client work, commercial commissions, commercial products, professional studio work or institutional branding unless explicitly allowed.
